Ferryden Playgroup Established

Formally registered as a Scottish charity (SC001482) on 30 May 1978 as an unincorporated association, launching our enduring mission to support early learning for the children of Ferryden.

Early Years

Growing Community Support

Extending play-based early learning to families across Ferryden and the wider Angus area, establishing our reputation as a trusted and high-quality childcare provider.

Present Day

Recognised Leaders in Early Years

Now operating from Ferryden Primary School with 5 dedicated professionals serving children aged 2–5, proudly affiliated with the Scottish Pre School Play Association and supported by a committed pool of 1–50 active volunteers.

Continuing to Grow

Raising funds through our community raffle to broaden activities and enhance our facilities, so Ferryden Playgroup can remain a beacon of excellence in early years education for generations to come.

Our Mission

To deliver outstanding early learning and childcare for children aged 2 to 5 in Ferryden — creating a warm, secure environment where every child can develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.

We remain committed to working hand in hand with families and the broader community, championing the very best possible start for each and every child entrusted to our care.
